Pharmacy Services
The Research Animal Resources Center (RARC) at the University of Wisconsin - Madison provides a veterinary pharmaceutical and supply store where principal investigators and laboratory staff can obtain medical supplies needed for protocol approved research procedures.

The RARC Pharmacy cannot dispense controlled substances. Information regarding controlled drug administration can be found on the RARC website by selecting “Training,” then “Lab Training Notebook.”
Veterinary Staff at RARC is available to provide pharmaceutical information and answer any questions regarding supplies, pharmaceuticals and veterinary care.
Hours & Location
The RARC Pharmacy is currently located in room 105 Enzyme Institute, 1710 University Avenue, Madison, WI 53726-4087.
Weekly pick-up hours*: Tuesday 8:00-11:00 AM and Thursday 12:00-3:00 PM.
Whenever possible, Friday pick-ups at MSC and CSC may be arranged with the Veterinary Technicians.
*To ensure item availability, orders for Tuesday pick-up MUST be placed by 12:00 PM the previous Friday and those for Thursday pick-up MUST be placed by 12:00 PM Tuesday.
Ordering Procedures
A RARC Supplies and Pharmaceuticals Request Form must be filled out completely for an order to be processed. This form can be downloaded and printed from the one of the following links: [PDF] [MS Word]
Please be sure to include current direct charge numbers required for billing. Consult with your department secretary or billing officer if you have questions regarding billing information. Orders will not be placed without correct billing information.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE REQUESTING AN ITEM THAT IS NOT IN THE CATALOG PLEASE CALL 265-4404.
